The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has published a draft of a proposed digital strategy for public comments. The draft strategy will cover the period 2023 – 2026 and is being shepherded by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

For context, these public comments form the final of a three-stage consultation process. Phase one relied on inputs from four focused working groups. The working groups relied on inputs from stakeholders reflecting academia, civil society, multilaterals, the business community and, admirably, the diaspora. Phase two opened up feedback to a wider cross section of stakeholder grouping. From these two phases, the current draft emerged.
This public consultation period, therefore, presents an opportunity to have a say on what may, otherwise, be set in stone at this juncture.
